So the big question is "Where has the summer gone?" Claire is almost 3 months old and Tommy is growing like a weed. Everyone here is doing so well.

Kyle and Grandma Donna came to babysit so we could go and see Harry Potter. The kids had so much fun together. Kyle is such a help and Tommy really loves him. The next day we went to the zoo. We had so much fun, but it was hot.

We had some family pictures taken this weekend and it was fun and stressful. Tommy is definitely 3 now. At times we aren't quite sure what to do with him. But overall he is a good boy and loves his little sister. This summer has been pretty laid back as far as big events. Although lots of trips to the zoo and home to Ellensburg. I am thoroughly enjoying having the summer off and not looking forward to returning to work and leaving my babies (September 1). At least with my new position at the hospital I work less days, longer hours but I will be home more with them. See everyone at Rodeo and enjoy the pictures. We had fun making them.

Life is good. It is going by so fast right now. We barely have time to think about it. We just love our family. Even though sometimes it is hard, they are such wonderful children.

Tommy is in big boy pants now and doing great. Claire is sleeping well and has started to smile. Although she is very stingy with the smiles and it takes great work to recieve one.

Tomorrow we are going to the zoo. Kevin, Amy and Taylor are coming over for my birthday weekend. It will be lots of fun.

Thomas had a birthday. The Big 3. He was very excited and has decided that he is no longer a Baby. He received lots of cool presents and got to have parties with all of his favorite people. It was a great week!
Claire is getting so big. She weighs 11 lbs 6 ounces on Wednesday. She defiantly seems to be following in her brothers shoes for size. We can't wait to see that smile as she is becoming much more alert. She is very much a Daddy's Girl. Everyday when John gets home she looks around at his voice and calms right down when she is in his arms.
We had some bad news this last week. Louie our cat had to be put down. The vet said that he got into some Toxins and there was nothing she could do. We think someone left out poison for the stray cats that are no longer around since Louie got sick. Of course there is no way to prove anything. John was very upset as this was his baby for 7 years. We told Thomas that Louie went to live in Heaven with Jesus. He keeps asking to go and visit him. We tell him he can't go now. So he keeps on the look out in case Louie decides to come back for a visit. It is challenging to explain this to a three year old.

Claire is growing so big. She is already 9 lbs 2 ounces on Friday. She is obviously getting enough to eat. She really likes to look around and go outside. Tommy is getting much better at entertaining her. He is so gentle with her (sometimes needing a few reminders) and he always lets me know when she is waaaing (crying).

Tommy's birthday is Thursday and he will be the Big 3. We are headed to Ellensburg to celebrate the big event.

Baby Claire and Big Brother Thomas

We are home from the hospital, all the visitors have gone home, and now we are alone. Yikes... Thomas is taking some time to adjust to his new family member. He just isn't quite sure what to do with her when she is taking so much of Mommy and Daddy's time.
Claire on the other hand is adjusting very well. She loves to look around at whatever is going on. And her favorite hobby right now is eating. She may very well become a World Champion Eater. We will see.
Everything else is going great. (Sleeping aside) And we can't wait to see what will happen next. Hopefully it will be a family nap!
